Nomads Family Day, UK, 2014

Saturday 21st June the North Kent Nomads Model Club held their Family and Friends day to display and fly the wide range of Radio Controlled aircraft and helicopters. The Club also welcomed Councillor Avtar Sandhu Mayor of Dartford and his wife Sukh the Mayoress to their flying site at Long Reach on Dartford Marshes.

The field lies on what used to be the runway of a WW1 aerodrome and has been in use by the Club since the 1960’s.

For over 30 years the Nomads have been linked with a model club in Dartford's twin town, Hanau and another in Switzerland, taking it in turn to host a long weekend each year. One of the visitors from Germany flew in the display together with members of the Club, some of whom have flown for the UK National team at European competitions.

Len flew his Red Bull BO-105, which was well received by all who attended.
